Our offer of service

The German Society for Clay-Pipe Research is, although based in Germany, the worldwide largest forum for everyone who deals with clay pipes. Structure of the German Society and taking part in the sessions are multinational, the website widely quadrilingual (German, English, French and Dutch). The purpose is to further international communication and to publish discoveries. In this regard, we can offer, as from today, a broad choice of services:

	The yearly session, where topical discoveries are presented, exchanges can be made between colleagues, information can be earned about one's own discoveries and interesting trips made.
	KnasterKOPF - Fachzeitschrift für Tonpfeifen und historischen Tabakgenuss (KnasterKOPF - A specialist periodical dealing with the history of clay pipes and tobacco) contains, besides the most interesting presentations made during the sessions, notices concerning new discoveries, hints about literature and reviews, the possibility of publishing your own researches.
	The multilingual website with a wide and diversified supply of information, continually actualised and improved.
	We endeavour to answer your questions about clay pipes and other topics as accurately, completely and quickly as we can.

To make all this possible, we rely on your collaboration. Please tell us about new discoveries, important publications, interesting exhibitions and museums, or let us know if you have any idea on how to make the German Society still more attractive.

The German Society gives deliberately up any kind of fixed contributions. The expenses must be privately funded.
Single information have been given so far, and will be give in the future, for free. When results of yours, due to our collaboration, are published, we assume, as it is common practice between colleagues, that we are entitled, in the interest of every concerned person, to edit them in the review KnasterKOPF.

In case of repeated requests, or of questions involving expenses, we will have to charge an adapted contribution. This applies also to the working out of a complete archeological site, a historical-archival research, or the participation to an exhibition. We count on your understanding that, in cases like these, be it only to recover the expenses, we have to find an agreement with you about the fees.

After all, your contribution is a guarantee of future service. You may also back up the German Society and its various activities and projects without asking anything. Please e-mail or call us for further information about the possibilities.

You make thus possible to further develop the clay pipe research in Germany and outside itst boarders. Your financial will help developing a project that has no institutional attachment in Germany.
